This video has been recorded 2.5 months after destruction of the airport Zeljava, august 1992.
Members of the Bosnian army went to evaluate state of the runways and determine where is the border line between Bosnia and Croatia.

Reconnaissancee of the Bosnian army

This video has been recorded 5 months after the destrucion of airfield Zeljava, in october, 1992 by the exYugoslav People's Army.
Reconnaissance mission of the Bosnian Army with main objective to evaluate the scale of the airfield destruction.
During this mission Bosnian soldiers walk through the forest on slope of mountain Pljesevica and they discover few ventilaton shafts.
Thorugh them underground facility "Klek" was supplyed by fresh air.
Some of those shafts was under mine and also surrounding of the patrol path.
The greatest visible damage on these recording is one the entrance/exit 3 from Croatian side (2nd from Bosnian side), and thet damaga took place after detonation of the tank trailer with ~30.000 liters of the fuel.

2005

LYBI-forum team 1st time on the Zeljava airfield


Recorded in the summer of 2005.year.


On this video you can see airfield facility (mostly from outside), runways and aprons from direction of village Zeljava which is on Croatian side of border.

Most part of airfield is on Croatian side, but whole area is some kind of cross-border zone (between Croatia and Bosnia) with width about 200-300 meters.
Because of that meeting with (Croatian/Bosnian) border patrols is not something unexpected.

We're enter (very partialy) in enterance 1 and 2, but only after about 50 meters there is incredible dark and every walk withot appropriate illumination is impossible.
One important detail is that camera eye on this video don't show real nature of that dark.
From buildings outside stays mainly nothing, and all is overgrown with vegetation.

Beside of all that in tunnels is very cold (in summer time) and warmer cloths is neccesary.
Fact that place is, duobtless, a mine suspected area is also important for safety issues.
There is also PCB problem about who you can read here.

On the exit from 2nd tunnel we're found shreded pilot suite, and there is numerous signs of "vultures" who had been steeling (thorugh time) remains of the equipment and cooper electric conduits which they solded for money like an scrap-iron.

Here you can see an underground maze of corridors and rooms with "Stationary communication node".
This underground space has, at least, 3 known entrance and our team step in through that one who is placed on the access road and tuned to Bosnian side.
Also you can see residance traces of Canadian soldiers in a form of wall painting insignia.
They were placed here 1998. , and have gone by the end of 2004.

2007

LYBI-forum team in the tunnels of the underground faciliy KLEK
 


Recorded in the january of 2007.year.

There's one wrong information about name of the base in the village Zeljava.
In video is written that name is "27th.july", but it isn't.


On this video you can see our first visit to the underground tunnels of the "Klek" facility inside the mountain Pljesevica.
On that moment we don't know almost nothing about the state of the tunnels and even can we walk through them.
But luckily we were walked trough almost all "Klek" facility.
Very good shape of the tunnels surprised us.
Only negative point is that the local "vultures" steel everything what they can.

LYBI-forum team is drive with car over the runways

Recorded in october 2007 .
This video show drive from ex-army base in the village Zeljava to the runways, aprons and whole airfield Zeljava facility.
That road is 3 kilometer long.
It's also possible to see 1st, 2nd and 3rd enatrance to the underground facility "Klek" and runway-triangle drive which is formed from runways 3, 1 and 4.
That triangle look like this on the real aerial photo:
Attention!!-during year 2008. border line is marked with proper signs and line is approximately presented with the red line!!
